In 1998, when Edina Fujii created the Quanta Award, six awards were distributed in festivals all over the country. The objective was to supply lighting equipment up to a certain value as a way to stimulate the production of documentary, short and feature films. This award has been gaining a growing importance and today comprises international festivals such as the Brazilian Film Festival of Miami.
"I always try to find if the festivals will award filmmakers and scriptwriters of the city where the event is held. This is the way I help local productions", says Edina. "The Quanta Award stimulates Brazilian States to give prestige to regional artists and stories", she adds.
Check below the list of professionals who won the Quanta Prize throughout the years. The values mentioned were converted into the rental of lighting equipment, accessories and machinery for their subsequent productions.
